Dear Mark Price , Mr Nevols,

I am writing in response to your final decision dated 5 January 2025 regarding my complaint (Reference: 24 012 899) about East Sussex County Council’s actions involving my family.

I strongly contest the conclusion that my complaint is “late” as the matter remains ongoing. Given the continued effects and unresolved aspects of the situation, including the Council’s failure to act appropriately on issues such as habeas corpus, slander, and financial accountability, I believe it is unjust to dismiss this complaint on the grounds of timing.

Additionally, your decision makes no mention of the data and evidence I have provided to the Council, which significantly impacts the case. This omission raises questions about whether all relevant information was properly reviewed before reaching your decision.

These materials strongly suggest, in my opinion, that there are underlying issues within local government that could indicate tacit support for criminal behavior. Such implications warrant a thorough investigation, particularly given the potential misuse of public funds and the Council’s projected £85 million deficit.

This matter’s ongoing nature, combined with the points above, provides good reason for the exercise of discretion under the Local Government Act 1974 to investigate this complaint fully. I respectfully request that you review this decision or provide clear guidance on alternative avenues for addressing these unresolved issues.
