Dear Chris Read

Thank you for providing this response. I am writing in response to your recent communication regarding my complaint. It appears there may have been some confusion concerning the specific issues I have raised.

According to your communication of complaint you sent me in relation to One School which was not a factor of my complaint as my daughter was never a student there, which was in regard to Southern Regional College(SRC) : an odd entity. I can only guess that you were in communication with my MP Misleading Information from Jane Howard Smith: Urgent Call for Transparency and Accountability โ€“ thestealingofemily.co.uk and here Criminal Complaint regarding Mishandling of Looked After Children Records โ€“ thestealingofemily.co.uk

To clarify, my complaint pertains specifically to the following matters:

  1. Criminal Complaint regarding Mishandling of Looked After Children Recordsthestealingofemily.co.uk
  2. Urgent Concerns: Child Abduction, DNA Evidence, and Parental Alienationthestealingofemily.co.uk
  3. Southern Health & Social Care Trust: Urgent Appeal for Resolution of Emily Newbold-Smithโ€™s Casethestealingofemily.co.uk

The primary issue concerns the alleged breach of legal provisions regarding the accommodation of my daughter, who was relocated approximately 500 miles from her home, contrary to the stipulations of Section 22C(9)(b) of the Children Act 1989 and Article 27 of the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995. These regulations stipulate that a child should not be moved more than 50 miles from their parental home. The relocation of my daughter beyond this distance appears to represent a serious breach of these legal requirements and has raised significant concerns about negligence and misconduct.

It seems there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the institution involved in my complaint. The issues I have outlined are specifically related to the Southern Health & Social Care Trust, not One School, as indicated in your recent communication.

Please review the details of my complaint in light of this clarification. I would appreciate a response that addresses the specific concerns outlined above.

Dear Mr Newbold
I refer to your email to NIPSO dated 20 May 2024 about One School Global and the actions of the Southern Health & Social Care Trust (the Trust). Having considered this correspondence I am writing to ask for further information from you to fully understand what it is you are asking us to investigate.

With respect to a possible complaint against the Trust, I note you received responses from the Trust on several occasions signposting you to the Ombudsman, most recently on 14 May 2024. However, it appears the most recent response from the Trust which specifically addresses concerns raised by you was 4 December 2023.

With respect to your email dated 20 May 2024, you have provided a limited amount of information but have not explained what you believe the Trust did wrong and the consequences which you endured as a result.  Specifically, I am not clear which aspects of the Trustโ€™s response dated 4 December 2023 you are objecting to, and why?

My colleague, Mr. Boyes contacting you by telephone on 5 June 2024 to clarify the issues of complaint and the remedy you are hoping to achieve by bringing your complaint to NIPSO. The call ended before Mr Boyes was able to obtain this
information. Unfortunately, no further action has been taken on your complaint and I would like to apologise for this oversight.

In order to complete an assessment of your complaint we require some additional information from you.  I would therefore be grateful if you can complete our complaint form attached or which is available at; www.nipso.org.uk/nipso/making-a-
complaint/online-complaints-form

You should:
State clearly any outstanding issues, explaining why you do not accept the
Trustโ€™s final response to your complaint;
Inform us of the outcome/remedy you seek in relation to your complaint (to put
things right); and

OFFICIAL – PERSONAL

OFFICIAL – PERSONAL

Advise us if you seek to pursue legal action in respect of your complaint.
We will complete an assessment of your complaint when you have provided this
information.  Until we receive this information, your case will remain closed on our case handling system.  I be grateful if you could respond on or before 30 August 2024.

Your email made reference to your concerns regarding the financial integrity and
overall management of OneSchool Global. I should explain that OneSchool Global is an independent school which does not receive state funding in Northern Ireland. As such, OneSchool Global is not within the Ombudsmanโ€™s jurisdiction and therefore the Ombudsman cannot accept complaints which relate to OneSchool Global.
If it would be helpful to discuss the content of this letter, please contact us on 0800

Yours sincerely

Kind Regards
