Dear Complaints Team,
I am writing to formally lodge a criminal complaint regarding the disgraceful handling and creation of Looked After Children (LAC) records by your office, specifically under the supervision of Colm McCafertty, Interim Director. This complaint involves several key individuals, including:
- Donna Hughes, Deputy Lead Safeguarding Officer
- Anita Dennison
- Michele Quinn
- Mrs. Spiers, Governance Coordinator for Children & Young People’s Services
- Colm McCafertty, Children’s Director
I am deeply concerned about the criminal nature of the actions taken by these individuals, particularly regarding the involvement of half a million children, including my daughter.
Discrepancy with Telephone Number 0300 123 1231
It has come to my attention that the telephone number provided for the location where you claim my daughter Emily is attending further education is 0300 123 1231. This is the same telephone number as that of Ofsted. This raises serious questions about the legitimacy and transparency of the information provided by your department. Are Ofstedโs offices located in the same place, or is there another explanation for this discrepancy?
Specific Concerns
- Mismanagement and Misconduct: The actions taken by the aforementioned individuals suggest significant mismanagement and possible misconduct, putting the well-being and safety of the children under your care, including my daughter, at risk.
- Transparency Issues: The telephone number discrepancy suggests a lack of transparency and possible misinformation. This undermines trust in your department’s ability to provide accurate and reliable information.
- Impact on Children: The scale of this issue, affecting half a million children, is alarming. The potential for widespread harm necessitates an immediate and thorough investigation.
Demands
- Immediate Investigation: I demand a thorough investigation into the creation and management of LAC records by your department, particularly focusing on the individuals named above.
- Clarification: I require immediate clarification regarding the telephone number discrepancy and the exact location and status of my daughter, Emily.
- Accountability: I insist that all actions taken by the involved individuals be reviewed to determine the extent of any criminal behaviour and to ensure accountability for any misconduct.
Request for Response
Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide a detailed response addressing my concerns at your earliest convenience. The gravity of this situation requires prompt and decisive action to safeguard the welfare of the children involved.
Sincerely,
Mr. Martin Newbold
