Dear Lady Chief Justice,
Thank you for your reply. However, I am writing to express my deep frustration regarding the ongoing situation and the responses I have been receiving from the Newry Office of Children Services. The information provided to me appears to be mere propaganda, failing to address the core issues at hand.
I have significant concerns about the conduct of the Interim Child Commissioner, Colm McCafferty, who seems to be acting unlawfully in handling these matters. This situation is causing substantial distress and worry as it impacts the welfare and safety of my child.
From my own research and communications, such as those detailed on thestealingofemily.co.uk, it is clear that there are systemic issues within the oversight bodies. The Express article dated April 29, 2024, raises alarming claims of sexed-up abuse within the system, further emphasizing the urgency of addressing these issues. Additionally, the post dated April 12, 2024, highlights why reforms are not happening, shedding light on the entrenched challenges that hinder progress in safeguarding children’s rights.
Furthermore, the investigation initiated by the Prime Minister’s Office, as reported on May 2, 2024, underscores the gravity of the situation and the need for immediate action. It is evident that the current mechanisms in place are failing to uphold the rights and protect the well-being of vulnerable children, such as my daughter, Emily, who was allegedly stolen at the age of four, as detailed in the post dated March 27, 2024.
Specifically, the South Regional College in Newry, which is funded by the European Union, raises questions about its role in allegedly catering to half a million Looked After Children (LAC). The oversight and transparency of such institutions must be scrutinized, especially when there are claims of mishandling and potential exploitation of vulnerable children.
Additionally, it appears from the letter dated May 14, 2024, from the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, and another letter from Laura Spiers dated January 22, 2024, that the complaint process has been exhausted and a deadlock exists. Despite this, no advocate has been provided by the trust, which I understand is a legal requirement. This omission is deeply troubling and further exemplifies the systemic failings in addressing and resolving critical issues concerning my child.
Moreover, I have made multiple requests for DNA testing from the authorities claiming to be incarcerating my daughter under the Freedom of Information Request (FOIR). However, this crucial evidence has not been forthcoming to date, raising serious doubts about the veracity of their claims and adding to the distress and frustration of the situation.
The new information provided by our Member of Parliament, Jane Howard Smith, and the dissemination of incorrect information about the complaints policy for a school my daughter is not even attending have only served to exacerbate the situation. This misinformation has further complicated efforts to navigate through the already convoluted bureaucracy surrounding Emily’s case.
Furthermore, there is a letter stating that the Newry Office of Children Services is in breach of Section 10, further highlighting the disregard for legal obligations and exacerbating concerns about the competency and integrity of the authorities involved in Emily’s case.
Adding to the anguish is the lack of evidence regarding Emily’s well-being. At 18, there is no confirmation of her being alive, let alone thriving. This uncertainty compounds the distress and underscores the urgent need for swift and decisive action to ascertain her safety and well-being.
I request the following actions:
- A thorough and independent review of the actions taken by the Newry Office of Children Services and the Interim Child Commissioner, Colm McCafferty.
- Immediate measures to ensure that all procedures and actions comply with legal standards and safeguard the welfare of my child.
- Transparent communication regarding the steps being taken to address my concerns and rectify any unlawful actions.
The well-being of my child is of paramount importance, and it is crucial that these issues are resolved promptly and fairly. I trust in your office’s ability to oversee this matter with the necessary rigor and impartiality.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue. I look forward to your prompt response and decisive action.
